本書梳理了我國司法外宣翻譯中存在的語用翻譯問題、文化翻譯問題和語言翻譯問題，在德國功能學派提出的功能主義翻譯理論與我國外宣翻譯實踐者與研究者的經(jīng)驗總結(jié)的基礎上，提出我國司法外宣翻譯工作要以客觀公正地介紹我國司法工作現(xiàn)狀、消弭國際社會的誤解為目的，提出我國司法外宣翻譯譯文的功能主要為信息功能，兼有委婉的訴求功能，因而必須以目標受眾為中心、符合目標受眾所在文化中的文化規(guī)約和語言規(guī)則，采取靈活務實的工具型翻譯戰(zhàn)略。
曹志建，1981年出生，河南省鄭州市人。2003年6月畢業(yè)于西南政法大學外語學院，獲得文學學士學位與法學學士學位；2005年6月畢業(yè)于中山大學外語學院，獲得文學碩士學位；2012年6月畢業(yè)于上海外國語大學，獲得文學博士學位，導師為張健教授。現(xiàn)就職于西南政法大學外語學院。中國翻譯協(xié)會會員、中國法律語言學研究會會員。研究領域：翻譯理論與實踐、法律英語。
