《美國總統(tǒng)演講名篇賞析》秉承"閱讀中外經(jīng)典，通識(shí)人類文化"的大學(xué)通識(shí)教育指導(dǎo)思想，以的美國演講修辭網(wǎng)中選出的Top100 Speeches和《美國總統(tǒng)就職演說精選》(王建華，江西人民出版社，2008)等資料為基本依據(jù)，并參考筆者對(duì)美國總統(tǒng)演講的閱讀、研究與教學(xué)經(jīng)驗(yàn)，精選美國總統(tǒng)演講16篇(其中就職演講10篇，就重大問題發(fā)表的其他演講6篇)。把文學(xué)(總統(tǒng)演講)與修辭賞析和美國歷史、文化知識(shí)的系統(tǒng)介紹有機(jī)結(jié)合起來，順應(yīng)了大學(xué)英語教學(xué)改革的新要求，有其獨(dú)到的特色。
徐中川，華東師范大學(xué)外語學(xué)院英語語言文學(xué)碩士，現(xiàn)為中國海洋大學(xué)外國語學(xué)院講師。多年來一直從事大學(xué)英語教學(xué)和英語詞匯記憶、測試及翻譯研究。近年來主編、獨(dú)立編著或翻譯，并由中國水利水電出版社、上海科技出版社、青島出版社等出版的英語書籍共十余種，總字?jǐn)?shù)超過660萬字，主要有：《10000英語高頻詞匯分級(jí)突破》(主編)，《考研英語詞匯分級(jí)+立體記憶法》(及時(shí)作者)，《葡萄酒百科全書》(合譯)等。
