great (?ret) adj. 很棒的這句話是個省略句，源自：It's great to see you.字面的意思是「看到你很棒。」引申為「很高興見到你。」可以加強語氣說成：It's really great to see you. (真高興見到你。)也可以加長為：It's really great to see you here. (在這里看到你真高興。)或 It's so great to see you today. (今天看到你真高興。)最熱情的說法是：I can't tell you how great it is to see you. (我說不出來，我看到你有多高興。)
可將Hey，My，Boy放在Great to see you.或It's great to see you. 的前面，成為：
Hey, it's great to see you. (嘿，很高興見到你。)
My, it's great to see you. (哎呀，很高興見到你。)
Boy, it's great to see you. (哇，很高興見到你。)
hey (he) interj. 嘿 my (maI) interj. 哎呀boy (b?I) interj. 咦；哇
要常說Hey，My，Boy這類的感嘆詞，說起話來才像美國人，可參照本書p.208, 616, 和「一口氣背成社交英語達人」p.449, 450, 462。
