三十而立
――祝賀中國科學技術史學會成立三十周年倡

女士們、先生們：
大家好！
今年是中國科學技術史學會的而立之年。30 年前的10 月6 日， 在中國科學技術協(xié)會
和中國科學院的大力支持下， 來自全國各地的科學史工作者247 名， 聚集北京， 成立了中
國科學技術史學會(Chinese Society for the History of Science and Technology， 以下簡稱
"學會")。那天的開幕式是一個高規(guī)格的學術集會， 作為一只腳還在門檻外的1978 級科學
史專業(yè)研究生， 我有幸窺見了當時的盛況。錢三強、茅以升、李昌、于光遠、錢臨照等科
技界的重要人物親臨致辭； 夏鼐、白壽彝等文史巨擘到場祝賀， 時任中國史學會執(zhí)行主席
的周谷城與國內眾多學術單位發(fā)來了賀電。這種熱鬧景象今日已難再現(xiàn)， 它是在那個特殊
年代里中國科學界、學術界對科學技術史這門學科在制度建設方面顯示高度關注的象征。
會議期間， 與會者采取自愿申請的方式， 每人填表一張， 交入會費一元， 經(jīng)主席團審批通
過， 就構成了學會的及時批會員。
10 年前， 在慶祝中國科學技術史學會成立20 周年之際， 時任學會理事長之一的席澤
宗先生寫過一篇紀念文章［1］ ； 5 年之后， 當時的學會秘書長韓健平等也發(fā)表了一文， 對有
關進展作了補充［2］ 。今天， 我受學會領導和第12 屆中國科學史國際會議組織者的委托，
與在座的各位一道， 回顧學會30 年的光榮歷史， 分享它的成長歷程。因為有上述兩篇文
章可供參閱， 最近5 年來的學會工作將是我報告的重點。
1.學會簡介
中國科學技術史學會是由中國科技史工作者自愿組織起來， 依法登記的全國性、學術
性的非政府組織， 是中國科學技術協(xié)會下屬的一級團體會員。它也是國際科學技術史學會
的49 個國家(或地區(qū)) 會員之一， 是中國科學史家在國際科學史界的正式代表。
學會的較高決策機構是全國代表大會， 每三至四年召開一次。自19
